Hotel Villa del Quar, with buildings dating from the 11th to the 17th century and located 12 miles north of Verona, has been awarded the “Three Golden Keys” as one of the ten best hotels in Italy for 10 consecutive years. The hotel’s Restaurant Arquade, under the direction of Chef Bruno Barbieri, has, in addition to two Michelin stars, been awarded 3 Forks by the Gambero Rosso Guide, naming it one of the Best 20 Restaurants in Italy. The villa, located in a vast estate of cultivated vineyards, produces its own label of red wine, Valpolicella Satyrus Riserva. In addition to three memorable nights, you will receive a pasta cooking lesson (participants enjoy what they have cooked for lunch) as well as a memorable Gourmet dinner, with accompanying wines chosen specifically for the individual courses. Chef Barbieri’s pièces de résistance include: tagliatelle with duck ragout and cockscombs in a celery sauce; medallion of venison with polenta gratin; apple and lem on chutney; and frozen chocolate cake with bitter grapefruit sauce. |

Why not spice up your holiday in Florence by taking the opportunity to prepare some authentic, seasonal Italian dishes with our highly trained Chef, Enzo Pettè.
Spend some time preparing lavish Tuscan and Mediterranean recipes from the Hostaria Bibendum at the Helvetia & Bristol. With more than 15 years of experience, Enzo teaches with great passion the simplicity of recreating ancient customs and traditions into a grand contemporary feast. The recipes are simple and mouth-watering using only the finest seasonal ingredients from our local markets.
Lessons are individuals with hands-on experience. The only prerequisite is one’s love of food and Italy.
Enzo Pettè at the Helvetia & Bristol organizes both residential and non-residential cooking classes. He offers his expertise with lessons based on both Tuscan and other regional dishes.
You will learn how to prepare dishes using the finest ingredients on the market. After all your hard work, wander through to the hotel’s enchanting bar and restaurant, the Hostaria Bibendum, for an aperitif with Chef Enzo before sitting down to a leisurely dinner of the delicious dishes you have prepared.
You may choose among several cooking class options, such as:
- one session cooking class from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm
- pasta and flans at € 170,00 per person

- Italian vegetarian cooking at € 160,00 per person
- cooking class for kids, available from 7 to 13 year’s old children:
